RECOUP Awards 2026
Putting recycled plastic centre stage
For the 2026 RECOUP Awards, Future Makers created a bespoke set of awards celebrating innovation and achievement across the plastics recycling and resource efficiency sector.
It felt fitting that the awards themselves should reflect the principles being celebrated.
The awards were made from Marble Carpet, a recycled polypropylene material developed and manufactured in Nottingham.
We transformed the material into a distinctive series of high value trophies, designed to be kept and displayed.
The 2026 RECOUP Awards brought together innovators and leaders from across the plastics recycling and resource efficiency sector.
From recovered plastic to Marble Carpet
Marble Carpet is a recycled polypropylene sheet material with a distinctive marbled finish, made using post-industrial and post-consumer polypropylene.
For the awards, the material was produced in blue and green to reflect RECOUP’s visual identity.
CNC machining the green Marble Carpet sheet to create the components for the finished awards.
A design inspired by circularity
The form of the awards was developed from RECOUP’s recycling symbol, translating its interlocking arrows into a three dimensional structure.
The logo was adapted for fabrication, allowing the individual elements to be CNC cut and assembled into freestanding awards.
Black engraved plaques identify each category, adding contrast to the marbled material.

Designed and made in Nottingham
Each award was fabricated in Future Makers’ Nottingham studio, combining CNC machining, finishing and assembly.
