Best Bar None Awards 2026

Recycled Plastic Awards for Nottingham’s Hospitality Industry

For the third year running, Future Makers worked with It’s in Nottingham to create the bespoke awards for the Best Bar None Awards. For 2026, we introduced Re-Retail, a 100% recycled and recyclable HIPS sheet made from recovered retail plastic.

The material was fabricated into a bespoke award design, finished with engraved plaques and produced by our team at Future Makers.

From recycled sheet to finished award

The Re-Retail sheet was cut and fabricated to create the individual award components, before being assembled, finished and engraved.

The process demonstrates how recycled sheet material can be taken beyond its original application and developed into a distinctive, high quality finished product.

From the workshop to the awards ceremony

The finished awards took centre stage at the 2026 Best Bar None Awards, recognising businesses from across Nottingham’s hospitality industry.

From industry to award

Re-Retail is made from recovered HIPS manufacturing offcuts. For Best Bar None, we transformed the material into a bespoke, lasting award through design and local manufacture.

It’s an example of how recycled materials can become distinctive products for organisations looking for a more circular approach to their events.
